Former boxing champion Mike Tyson is being hailed as a hero, having helped an injured road crash victim on his way to Las Vegas.
Tyson was travelling to Las Vegas in his vehicle, when he witnessed the traffic accident which happened on the freeway. Ryan Chesley was driving at high speed on his motorcycle, but in trying to avoid a collision with a taxi, which he says had cut him off, he was thrown off the bike.
It appears that Tyson saw the accident, quickly stopped his vehicle and got out of his car to stop and divert traffic, while the injured Chesley lay in the road. Tyson also kept him calm until paramedics arrived on the scene.
Chesley suffered several broken bones, torn ligaments and nerve damage and will require shoulder surgery.
He says that he plans to send a thank you note and fruit basket to the Tyson as a thank you for his help.
