On Saturday, June 16, a woman was killed when her car overturned on State Route 159.
According to the Clark County Coroner’s Office and Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 6.30 a.m. on the Saturday morning on State Route 159, around a mile north of Blue Diamond Road. A gray 2011 Chevrolet Impala being driven by 34 year old Las Vegas Resident, Jessica Dianne Kenney, was heading south. For reasons as yet unknown the car ran off the right side of the road and hit a sign. It then went down an embankment and over a culvert before rolling over and landing on its wheels. Kenney was not wearing a seat belt and was declared dead at the scene, which the Coroner’s Office said was due to blunt force injuries.
The crash is still being investigated.
