A single vehicle rollover crash on Saturday morning has left a 19 year old man dead and an 18 year old woman seriously injured.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before noon when a green Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north on Interstate 15, near the mile marker 60, around five miles north of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The NHP went on to say that the vehicle veered off the road and the driver over corrected twice and then the car smashed into the median and rolled over into the southbound lane.
Both the driver and passenger were from Lincoln, Nebraska and they were taken to University Medical Center where the man was pronounced dead. The woman, who was conscious but seriously injured, was airlifted to hospital.
The Interstate was closed for around three hours while the investigation continued.
According to the NHP this was the 57th fatal accident during this year.
