Robotic Car on Show in Las Vegas

The 2014 International Global Consumer and Electronics show in Las Vegas was the scene of the unveiling of a semi robotic car which was able to park itself with no driver on board.

The appearance of certain auto pilot actions is not new. The Mercedes CLS coupe can brake by itself if the driver forgets and some BMW models can go onto automatic pilot in traffic jams and warn drivers if they are about to go over a white line.

However, most people are in agreement that the day is fast approaching when more and more robot features will be added and during the next decade the true robotic car will appear.

This development should lead to benefits for the drivers, with less stress, less fuel and lower journey times as, if all cars are robotic and speaking to each other, then traffic should flow more freely.

However, it is not certain whether drivers will relish handing over control to a robot, nor who would pay for accidents should the robot make a mistake.

Experts say that up to 90% of all accidents occur due to driver error. If you, or a loved one, have been seriously injured or killed in an automobile accident the Boulder City accident attorneys of Jolley Urga Woodbury & Little can help you get the compensation that you deserve.
