According to authorities, the accident occurred at around 8.30 at night in the 3300 block of London Bridge Road. Taylor Coke, aged 17 was driving in her vehicle when 53 year old William Penn of Desert Hills crossed the center line and hit her car head on.

However, Taylor Coke was injured and was flown by air ambulance to Las Vegas to be treated for a broken hip and two broken legs.
This is the second time in six weeks that a child of a council member has been hurt in a car accident, the last one being in early March when the 6 year old daughter of Councilwoman Michele Lin was injured in a car crash. She has since recovered.
